OPEN POSITION-Aluminum Beveller/Brakepress PRODUCTION HOURS: 7 AM-3:30 PM Job Summary: Duties include beveling of cut product to standard size using a beveller and bending product using a brake press. Employee will run a 3 prong drill press when required. Employee will be cross-trained in cutting sheets of aluminum to specific lengths using a shear saw. Other duties include the unloading of product from trucks using a hoist and delivery of cut material to racks or beveller area. Job Responsibilities: • Operation of brake press, beveller, and drill press • Inventory control – making sure racks have the necessary material for production • Use of hand tools – tape measure, sander, angle finder • Pull material from racks and place in welding areas for fabrication • Take care of aluminum scrap – taking inventory and load onto truck when needed • Operation of shear – cutting of sheets of aluminum to specific lengths • Will use banders and band cutters when putting material on racks • Read blueprints Note: The job duties above are the primary duties, however there maybe other duties assigned. Tool/Machine/Technology Requirements: • Fork truck operation – stand up and sit down • Use of hand tools – tape measure, sander, angle finder • Operation of the 3 or 5 ton hoist to unload product from trucks Job Requirements: • Must have good computer and basic math skills • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. • Must be able to bend, twist, squat repetitively throughout work day. • Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English • See and hear within reasonably acceptable limits, (this includes the ability to see at a distance and peripherally) • Use time management skills and prioritization to accomplish the day’s tasks within the hours provided • Must be self-motivated as much of the day is unsupervised • This is a 40 hour per week position and may require mandatory overtime hours PPE Required: • Steel Toed Shoes • Safety Glasses • Leather Gloves • Hearing protection is optional 11/21/18
Welder-Accepting Applications PRODUCTION HOURS 7-3:30 Responsible for fabrication of product by welding together the correct pieces to produce finished product. Job Responsibilities: • Must be knowledgeable of all parts used for the assembly of products • Will need to verify parts to print • Must be able to read blueprints • Build units by welding to quality specifications o Making sure of squaring, levelness and plumb • Must remove BB’s and sharp edges from finished product using hand tools o Sander, putty knifes, chisel and hammer • Inspect finish products against engineering specifications • Will need to use hand tools throughout production • Accurate use of a tape measure • Must notify supervisor/lead person for final inspection • Will need to know how to use magnetic hoist to move product • Fork truck operation These are not the only duties performed by the Welder. Supervisor-Accepting Applications Supervisory experience in welding is a plus. Supervisors are the leaders of their department. They are expected to maintain a professional, team oriented, safe and efficient work place. Supervisors work with the Human Resources department to make staffing recommendations, coaching and perform disciplinary action as required. They will work closely with the Plant Manager to produce quality products and complete orders on time. Supervisors are responsible for their department's scheduling, reporting and forecasting. Qualifications: Proven leadership skills to direct employees toward production goals. Strong problem solving/resolution skills. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization. Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ability to learn and navigate Vestil-specific applications. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing requests while maintaining a culture of accountability and efficiency. High School degree and 3-5 years of supervisory experience is required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and required to wear appropriate PPE. 10/01/18
Maintenance-Accepting Applications Job Summary: Responsible for inspecting, servicing, troubleshooting and repairing all plant equipment assigned to him/her. Employee must follow a systematic process for accomplishing preventive, scheduled and emergency equipment maintenance. Employee must be knowledgeable of industrial electricity (all phases and voltages), mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic operations, troubleshooting techniques, blueprint, schematic analysis and proper use of tools and diagnostic equipment. An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and needs to be willing to learn new tasks as needed.
